Most problems show up after the vessel docks, not before it sails. The cargo has been released without the delays and extra handling charges we have run into elsewhere, which keeps our landed cost predictable.

We reorder the same specifications instead of trying something new each time. Later orders have matched the first so closely that we no longer re-test every batch before releasing it to production.

When a claim comes up, how the supplier responds matters more than the claim itself. They followed up on our last issue until it was closed, which is not something we can say of every supplier.
